wheelspinnerRandom name picker wheel
Paste your class list, team or giveaway entrants, one name per line, and spin the wheel of names. Each spin picks one name fairly. Choose Remove from wheel after each pick and keep spinning until everyone has had a turn.
Ways to use the random name picker
- Cold-call students fairly instead of picking the same raised hands.
- Draw the order of presentations at the start of a lesson.
- Pick a giveaway winner live on stream with the Results tab as your record.
Questions
How do I paste names from a spreadsheet?
Select the column in Excel or Google Sheets, copy, and paste into the Entries box. Each cell becomes its own line.
How do I stop the same name coming up twice?
When a name is picked, choose Remove from wheel. The next spin only includes the names that are left.
Is the pick really random?
Yes. The winner is chosen with your browser’s cryptographic random number generator before the animation starts.
Can I edit this wheel?
Yes. Change, add or delete any entry in the Entries box. Your version is kept in this browser, and the link button copies a link to share it.
