Random country wheel
Every one of the world’s 195 countries is on this wheel: the 193 UN member states plus Palestine and Vatican City. With that many slices the names are too small to read on the wheel itself, so the winning country appears in large type once it stops. Delete regions you don’t want to narrow it down.
Ways to use the random country wheel
- Geography quiz: spin, then everyone guesses the capital, flag or continent.
- Pick a cuisine for dinner night based on the country that comes up.
- Choose a random destination for your next holiday or a pen-pal country for class.
- Make a smaller wheel by keeping one continent, for example only European countries.
Questions
Which countries are included?
All 193 United Nations member states plus the two observer states, Palestine and Vatican City, for 195 in total. You can add territories like Greenland or Puerto Rico as extra lines.
Why can’t I read the country names on the wheel?
195 slices are too thin for labels, so the wheel hides them and shows the winner in big type in the result window. Remove countries until the list is shorter and the names appear on the slices.
Is every country equally likely?
Yes. Each country has a weight of 1 and the same chance. Use the Weights tab if you want some countries to come up more often.
Can I edit this wheel?
Yes. Change, add or delete any entry in the Entries box. Your version is kept in this browser, and the link button copies a link to share it.
